MPB Series 1200BV-ANS/230 Anaesthetic Variable Area Flowmeter

GENERAL INFORMATION

This version of the MPB Series 1200BV-ANS/230 Flowmeter is manufactured exclusively to house an anaesthetic 230mm standard length flow tube and will give an instantaneous flow rate of the standard anaesthetic gases.

The MPB Series 1200BV-ANS/230 Anaesthetic Flowmeter has an overall length of 300mm, with process centres of 275mm.

This flowmeter can be supplied with either straight through, or rear facing connections (G¼”).

The anaesthetic flow tube supplied with this instrument is fully compliant to ISO 5358 and BS4272.

Normally the flow tube supplied exhibits dual scale calibration whereby the first third of the flow range is dedicated to 0.1-1 L/min and, for example, 2-10 L/min would be a linear scale for the remainder of the scale length.

The MPB Series 1200BV-ANS/230 Anaesthetic Flowmeter is supplied with an integral flow control valve.

The flowmeter has a photo luminescent backing to provide a degree of back lighting in the event of power failure.

The flow tube is fully conductive, both internally and externally, and is compliant to the international standard for human and veterinary anaesthesia flow measurement.

The flow tube utilises serial numbered floats and flow tubes to guard against incorrect reassembly when cleaning. In addition, the float exhibits a white dot so that the operator can clearly see the rotation.

The flow tube is supplied complete with colour banding to international standards. We can also supply colour banding to other requirements.

The flowmeter is fitted with a contact device to earth the flow tube through to the mounting studs and chassis. This is to prevent any static build up.

In addition to standard anaesthetic gases, MPB can supply calibrated flow tubes for xenon, heliox, entinox, nitrox and nitric oxide as typical examples.

The MPB Series 1200BV-ANS/230 Anaesthetic Flowmeter has nickel plated brass end connections, however, stainless steel can be supplied if required at an additional cost.
