The MPB Series FA10 Ultra Low Flow Alarm is designed to give a visual indication of flow and also a switched output at pre-determined flows as low as 25cc/min H20 (1.5 L/hr).

The FA10 is a low-pressure drop device and can be positioned either in-line or on a bypass system for low viscosity liquid flows.

Typical uses include pump failure, detection of filter blockages and process medium failure etc. The FA10 is ideal for use in the water treatment industry where the materials of construction are particularly suited for these applications and would also be suitable for most industrial applications.

The standard switch operation is normally open below the flow set point. Above the set point the switch will be closed.

Standard switching points are1.5 L/hr, 2.5 L/hr and 5 L/hr. Alternative ranges are available on request.

The MPB Series FA50 Flow Alarm offers a flowmeter and adjustable flow alarm system within the same unit.

The FA50 Flow Alarm is suitable for most common process liquids and gases and utilises the variable area flowmeter principle of operation, namely, as flow increases the float rises within a tapered flow tube and hence the flow rate can be read directly and alarm points set.

The alarm system uses the reed switch principle and is triggered by a small magnet housed within the float.

The MPB Series FA60 Flow Alarm will give a switched output at a predetermined flow, i.e. 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12 or 24 L/min.

The FA60 Flow Alarm, being a low-pressure drop device, can be positioned either in-line or on a bypass system.

Typical applications include pump failure alarm and detection of filter blockages etc.

The principle of operation is quite simple:-

Normal flow will lift the float up into the flow tube, but when the flow falls below a pre-set level the float drops and a magnet held within the float triggers a reed switch.

The MPB Series 3500 Variable Area Flowmeter offers an excellent means of instantaneous flow rate measurement. The materials of construction offer compatibility to a wide range of industrial process mediums.

The 3500 Variable Area Flowmeter can be fitted with Hi and Lo latching alarms.

The end connections can be supplied in Stainless steel, or rigid PVC.

The units are fitted with a calibrated scale. A metric scale of 170mm is permanently fired on the tube. A useful blank scale plate can also be provided for customers own calibrations if required.

The 3500 Variable Area Flowmeter can be used to measure the flow rate of most process gases and liquids.

Ranges up to 250 L/min of water (or 7500 L/min air @ 1013 mbar abs 20oC) are supplied as standard.

An economical latching alarm device is also available, this enables the alarm to remain activated whilst flow is above or below a set point. This reduces expensive electronic circuitry and is ideal for remote and process control applications.
